Purpose: To establish a uniform criteria for the selection of membership into the Mount Holly Sports Hall of Fame.
Selection Guidelines
Membership shall consist of individuals in the Mount Holly / Easton Gaston community.
Committee must recognize accomplishments or service rendered as outstanding and noteworthy.
Accomplishes are not limited to high school, collegiate or professional accolades and may include outstanding community services that support organized athletic programs.
Membership selection process will be based on applications submitted and majority vote of committee members.
The committee will determine number of inductees per year; a single team will count as one inductee.
All organized sports may not be represented yearly based on the selection committee’s final vote.
Nomination forms should be to the Hall of Fame no later than January 31 to the considered for this year’s program.
Website research, newspaper articles, old programs, yearbooks, and word of mouth can be used in committee determination of potential inductees qualifications. Person making nomination should provide documentation and corroboration of background information.
The date for the annual Mount Holly Sports Hall of Fame banquet is the third Saturday in August. Buy your tickets HERE.
